What's worth automating with AI in your company, and what isn't

An independent expert who isn't trying to sell you a system.

Every agency has an AI offer these days, and everyone is strongest in what they build themselves. That's only natural, it just makes it hard for you to read off what you actually need. After 25 years in development my credibility is worth more to me than any one job, and I want to help as many companies as I can. So I can just as easily tell you not to put AI into a given process.

Before your project turns red

Here's where I can stand beside you

In a technical project it makes a real difference to have someone independent pull your ideas together and sit on your side.

  1. AI audit: I show you what's worth automating in your company, and what isn't.
  2. AI training and workshops for your team, on your real tasks.
  3. I represent your interests as an external adviser, at any project phase.
  4. I make the technical details understandable.
  5. I help you choose the right development team.
  6. I take part in negotiations and make sense of the quotes that come in.
  7. I help prevent misunderstandings and unnecessary costs.
  8. I support the project management, so deadlines and budgets stay realistic.
  9. I run technology audits, so you can tell whether what you got is actually any good.
Examples

Often the right answer is that you don't need AI

Three situations people come to me with. In all three the answer turned out to be smaller than what they were bracing for.

Accounting firm, 15 people

Situation

"Two to three hours a day go into keying in incoming invoices by hand."

What the audit found

No AI needed. Their existing accounting software had an invoice-scanning feature that was never switched on.

Outcome

Same saving, zero development cost.

Webshop, 40 people

Situation

"Most of the questions reaching support are the same five questions."

What the audit found

AI answers order-status questions only. Everything else stays with a human, because mistakes there are expensive.

Outcome

A third of the emails close without a human reply.

Agency, 8 people

Situation

"We write every proposal from scratch, several a week."

What the audit found

Not a system, just a prompt set and templates inside the tools they already pay for, taught in one workshop.

Outcome

Proposal writing goes from hours to minutes, with no new software.

About me

Experience between technology and people

Rudolf Gergely MajorIndependent AI and technology advisor

With 25 years of building digital systems, I know exactly what makes a project work and when it starts to go wrong.

I’ve worked as a software architect on international projects, led development teams, and I teach. As a private tutor and as a speaker I help others find their way in technology.

So I don’t know from theory how much of a plan actually ships, and how much of it runs out along the way.

Today I help people who want to introduce AI, or need a company website, a webshop, a mobile app or any online system, and could use someone next to them who understands what the developers are saying.

Recommendations

People I've worked with

Real LinkedIn recommendations from the 25 years my advice is built on, written by colleagues and clients.

Rudi not only met deadlines but also explains his programs in a way that non-experts can easily understand. His quick thinking and cautious personality has helped the company avoid some costly and embarrassing mistakes.

MelindaQA and test manager, same company

He can create a custom, complex management system to run an entire company, yet make it easy enough that anyone can use it with ease. Hands down the best programmer I have ever worked with.

Keithfounder and lead engineer, former client

He is proficient how to train, lead and point the team to the right direction based on his long experience in the IT industry. As a real team player, he always welcomes and listens to other suggestions and solutions when moments of need.

Why you can trust what I tell you

01

My credibility is the stake.

After 25 years in software development I make my living from good advice, not from building it. A single bad recommendation would cost me more than any one project brings in.

02

No vendor commission.

I'm not a reseller for any platform. I recommend what fits your problem.

03

"Don't do it" is also an answer.

My most common recommendation isn't an AI system but a simplified process. That's far cheaper for you, and it earns me nothing.

Packages

Four ways to get started

The call is free, the audit and the workshop are fixed price, with the scope agreed and a written deliverable. Representation runs hourly because it's open-ended, but we agree the budget there too.

First step

A 30-minute call

A no-strings conversation about where you are and what's stuck right now.

What you get
  • You tell me where most of the time and money goes today
  • I tell you what I make of it, including if the answer is you don't need AI for this
  • If it's worth going further, I'll say which package fits
  • Nothing to prepare, and I won't send a quote afterwards unless you ask for one

For teams

AI workshop for your team

One day of work together. Not a lecture, we do it hands-on.

What you get
  • A full-day, on-site workshop with your team
  • We work on your real tasks, not on demos
  • We write prompts together, set up tools, and look at what could be faster
  • Everyone leaves with knowledge they can use on their own work
  • A written summary and a recommended tool list

Alongside your project

Business representation

I sit next to you at the table when the quotes and the deadlines come up.

What you get
  • I take part in negotiations and assess the quotes that come in
  • I translate what the developer says into business terms, and ask about what isn't in there yet
  • I help you pick the right development team
  • I review the scope, the timeline and the budget before you sign
  • A technology audit mid-project or at handover
25 000–45 000 HUF / hour
The lower end is for ongoing work, the upper end for one-off involvement. No minimum commitment, and we agree the budget up front.
